Our Salt Marsh Ecology Tour will takes us under the iconic swing bridge, along the Beaufort Riverfront, and to a sandbar only accessible at low tide. There we will explore what the tide has left and go for a swim if the weather permits. We will paddle back through the salt marsh and return to the landing.
Our Dolphin Ecology Tour explores the salt marsh at high tide for an up close view of the ecosystem that supports these beautiful marine mammals. From there we move into the larger waters of the Fripp Inlet to look for resident Bottle-nose dolphin.
Join us on this amazing blackwater creek for an excursion through an old-growth cypress/tupelo forest. We’ll journey deep into the heart of the Georgia swamp, exploring these ancient trees and taking photos along the way. This is a 4-mile paddle. There is little to no current and this trip is suitable for beginners.
Explore one of the most interesting areas in Beaufort county, from a natural history, conservation and cultural history standpoint. On this tour we will explore the "C" in the ACE basin, the Combahee River. We will discuss rice culture and history, conservation successes, and the present use of the historic rice fields.
On our Beaufort History tour we explore this beautiful town's 300 year history from an optimal vantage point, the water. After crossing the Beaufort River we will , we explore the historic district, kayaking past some of the most beautiful homes in the area.
Paddle to the edge of the continent through the protected waters of the Fripp Inlet. We land on a sandbar only accessible at low tide. Where we illustrate barrier island and beach re-nourishment projects. The sandbar provides spectacular uninhibited views of Hunting Island State Park, the Atlantic Ocean, and Fripp Island.
A "half day" tour requires a 3-hour time commitment with approximately 2 hours on the water.
Single and tandem kayaks available.
A Tag-along is someone who has their own equipment and would like to join the kayak tour.
